This tutorial was created on December 9, 2010 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials from my site to add to another site unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Tube and Font of choice

 

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now.  Create a new image750w x 750h white background.  Restore the ChristmasFrame02 - Edit/Copy; back to the new image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Rotate/Free Rotate.  Rotate the frame by 90 degrees to the right.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the frame using the settings shown below.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 55; Blur 6; Color Black

                                     

2.  Restore the Bow01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the bow by 50% one time and by 75% one time.  Position the bow on the top left corner of the frame (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the bow.  Restore the Candy01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the candy by 50% two times and 85% one time.  Position the candy on the right top corner of the frame.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the candy.

3.  Restore the ChristmasBall01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the ball by 50%.  Position the Christmas ball on the right top corner of the frame (see header tag).  Drag this layer under the candy layer on your layer palette. Apply a drop shadow effect to the Christmas ball.  Restore the ChristmasTree01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the tree by 65%.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the Christmas tree.  Position the tree on the right bottom corner of the frame (see header tag). 

4.  Restore the Northpole01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the North Pole tube by 85%.  Position the tube on the left side of the bottom of the frame.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube.  Restore the ChristmasCandle0 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the candles by 50%.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the candles. Position the candles on the left side at the bottom of the frame next to the North Pole sign (see header tag). 

5.  Activate the frame layer of your template.  Restore the ChristmasLights01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Position the lights on the top part of the frame.  Draw a selection around the ends of the lights under the bow and the candy (see screen shot below).  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the lights.  Restore the PapaNoel - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the Santa by 50%.   Apply a drop shadow effect to the Santa.  Position the Santa at the bottom left corner of the frame next to the candles (see header tag).  

6.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the tube if needed.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube changing the blur to 8.  Position the tube as shown in header tag.   Restore the Snowman01 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the snowman by 50% one time and 65% one time.  Position the snowman on the bottom right corner of the tag (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the snowman.  Activate the white background layer of your tag.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Using the Selection tool (rectangle, feather 0), draw a selection around the inside edge of the frame (see screen shot below).  Flood fill the new layer with the color #65B751.

7.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select the DBV Christmas Mask07 from the drop box under the Source window.  Source luminance and Invert mask data are selected.  Layers/Merge/Merge Group.   Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 45%. Add your name or watermark to your tag.  Apply any copyright info that is needed to your tag.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that is needed from your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
