This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Country Girl Template to your Psp workspace. Shift+D to make a duplicate of the template; close out the original template so that you will have it for future use. With the template being the active image, go to Image/Canvas Size. Change the width of the template canvas to 700w x 800h.
2. Activate the Raster 3 layer of the template. Selections/Select All; Selections/Float. Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper44 - Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the paper using the settings shown below. Activate the Copy of Layer 3 of the template and follow the same steps as used above for the Raster 3 layer. Vertical 5; Horizontal 0; Opacity 50; Blur 10; Color Black
3. Activate the Raster 2 layer of the template - Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper45 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the paper using the same settings as used in Step 2. Activate the Raster 1 layer of the template following the same steps as used for the Raster 2 layer of the template EXCEPT change the paper to Paper47. 4. Activate the Merge layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper44 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Change the blend mode of the Paper44 to Overlay. Apply a drop shadow effect to the layer using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the Vertical setting to 2 and the blur to 5. 5. Activate the second Merged layer of the template (the word Country on the left side of the template). Change the blend mode of the word Country layer to Overlay. Apply a drop shadow effect to the word using the same settings as used in Step 4. Activate the Copy of Merged layer and follow the same settings as used for the previous Merged layer with the Country word on it. 6. Activate the Raster 4 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Flood fill the selected words with the color #CC7532. Selections/Select None. Change the blend mode of the layer to Hard Light. Add a drop shadow effect to the text. Repeat the same steps for the Copy Of Raster 4 layer. 7. Restore the main tube that you will be using on your tag - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed. Position as shown on header tag. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the same settings as used in Step 2. Restore the Cactus element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the cactus by 50% two (2) times and 75% one (1) time. Position the cactus on the bottom left side of the template. Restore the Guitar element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Image/Mirror. Resize the guitar by 50% two (2) times and 75% one (1) time. Position the guitar at the bottom left side of the template in front of the cactus (see header tag). 8. Restore the Old Paper element #26 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the paper element by 50% two (2) times. Image/Mirror. Position the paper at the top left corner of the template (see header tag). Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Restore the Element31 (round red button with yellow star) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top. Resize the button by 50% three (3) times and by 70% one (1) time. Position the button on the top left corner of the old paper. Restore the Rope#8 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the rope by 50% three (3) times and by 85% one (1) time. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the rope by 90 degrees to the right. Position the rope on the right corner of the template (see header tag).
9. Restore the Horseshoe element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the horseshoe by 50% three (3) times and by 65% one (1) time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the horseshoe using the same settings as used in Step 4. Position the horseshoe on top of the rope as shown on header tag. Restore the Element 29 (Ride Em Cowgirl sign) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the element by 50% two (2) times and by 60% one (1) time. Rotate the sign by 15 degrees to the left. Position at the bottom right corner of the template (see header tag). Restore the Lantern element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the lantern by 50% two (2) times and by 65% one (1) time. Position the lantern at the bottom right corner of the template next to the cowgirl sign (see header tag). 10. Restore the Gun#4 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the gun by 50% three (3) times and by 85% one (1) time. Position the gun at the top left corner of the template (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Using the Move tool, move the duplicated gun to the left side of the template and place across the original gun so that they crisscross with each other (see header tag). Restore the Bullet element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the bullet by 50% three (3) times and 75% one (1) time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the bullet using the same settings as used in Step 4. Position the bullet in front of the cowgirl sign (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Using the Move tool, move the duplicated bullet next to the original bullet. Resize the duplicated bullet by 75%. Rotate the duplicated bullet by 8 degrees to the left. Position as shown in header tag. 11. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Resize your tag by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill the new layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Restore the Paper44 - Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the MC_Mask1 from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance is checked; Invert mask data is NOT checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group. Resize the mask layer by 85%. Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 56.
12. Add your name and any copyright info that is needed on your tag. For my name, I used the Rustler font. I used the Paper47 for the stroke and the Paper45 for the text fill. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space that may be around your tag. Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
