FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Days Gone By PTU Scrap Kit here HF Maske here Background mask of choice or the one I used here Female tube here or one of choice Font Scythe here Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Paper11; Shift+D to make a duplicate of the paper. Close out the original paper as we will be working with the duplicated paper. With the duplicated paper being the active image, go to Layers/Promote Background to Layer. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the HFMaske1 from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance and Invert mask data are both checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
2. Image/Resize. Resize the mask layer by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Image/Canvas Size. Change the width and the height of the canvas to 900w x900h. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 60; Blur 5; Color Black
3. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill the new raster layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Make the mask layer your active layer. Restore the SP_Flowers - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower element by 65% one time and by 90% one time. Position the flower on the top right side of the mask (see screen shot below). Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower.
4. Restore the SP_Gear2 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the gear by 50% two times and by 75% one time. Position the gear on the left middle circle of the mask (see screen shot below) Apply a drop shadow effect to the gear.
5. Layers/Duplicate. Move the duplicated gear down to the next circle. Layers/Duplicate. Move the gear to the bottom circle. Layers/Duplicate one more time and move the duplicated gear to the gear on the bottom right side of the mask (see screen shot below).
6. Restore the SP_Roses - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the roses by 65% one time and by 90% one time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the roses. Position the roses at the top left corner of the mask (see header tag). Restore the SP_Flowers4 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste as New Layer. Resize the flowers4 by 75% one time and by 90% one time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the flowers. Position the flowers on the left side of the mask (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Apply a drop shadow effect to your tube. Position your tube as desired on your tag. 7. Restore the SP_Keys - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Image/Mirror. Resize the keys by 50% one time and by 85% one time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the keys. Position the keys on the left side of the mask on top of the middle gear (see header tag). Restore the SP_Bow2 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Image/Mirror. Resize the bow by 50% one time and by 65% one time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the bow. Position the bow on the bottom circle part of the mask (see header tag). 8. Activate the white background layer and go to Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill the new layer with the color #585A5F. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the ssa_maske_gross5 from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance and Invert mask data ARE both checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group. Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 40.
9. Add the necessary copyright info to your tag and any text that you might want to add, such as your name, etc. When everything is like you want it with your tag, go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space that may be around your tag. Resize your tag and save in desired format. Below is another tag I made using the Days Gone By scrap kit.
