This tutorial was created on November 28, 2011 and is the property of It's Me Again tuts by Bonnie; please do not remove this tutorial from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Misunderstood template to your Psp workspace.  Shift+D to make a duplicate of the template; close out the original template.  Image/Canvas Size.  Change the width of the template canvas to 750w and the height of the canvas to 850h.

2.  Activate the Merged layer of the template - Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper14 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Following the same steps as listed in Step 2, use the papers shown below for the following template layers.

Raster 3 layer - Paper 5

Raster 6 layer - Paper 5

Raster 2 layer - Paper 6

Merged layer - Paper 14  (Image/Mirror)

Raster 4 layer - Paper 6 (Change blend mode to hard light)

Merged layer (broken heart) - Paper 6 (Change blend mode to hard light)

Copy of Merged layer - Paper 6 (Change blend mode to hard light)

3.  Apply a drop shadow effect to each of the template layers using the settings show below or one of your choice.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 60; Blur 6; Color Black

4.  Restore the BloodDrips element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the blood drips element by 50%.  Position the element on the large circle layer of the template about halfway down the circle (see screen shot below).  Drag the element layer below the red frame layer and the three squares layer.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the blood drips element.  Restore the HeadStone element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the head stone layer by 50%.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the head stone.  Position the head stone at he bottom left side of the template (see header tag).

5.  Restore the Grass element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag element and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the grass by 75%; position the grass in front of the head stone.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the grass.  Restore the Sign element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the sign by 50%.  Position the sign behind the grass and the left side of the head stone.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the sign  Using the color #C75252 and the font Ghost Writer, write out the words "Keep Out!" on the sign.  Font size is 22.  Layers/Duplicate.  Change the blend mode of the duplicated text layer to Hard Light.

6.  Restore the BloodSpatter element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the spatter by 50% two times and by 65% one time.  Place the spatter on the sign below the text (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the spatter.  Restore the Python element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Mirror.  Resize the python by 50%.  Position the python in front of the grass and head stone (see below).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the python.

7.  Restore the SpiderWeb - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Position the spider web on the top left side of the large circle.  Resize the spider web by 50% one time and by 75% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the spider web.  Restore the Spider element - Edit/Copy; Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the spider by 50% two times.  Position the spider in the center of the web.  Apply a drop shadow to the spider.

8.  Restore the Card1 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the card by 50% two times.  Rotate the card by 15 degrees to the left.  Position the card on the left top side of the template (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the card.  Restore the Card2 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the card by 50% two times.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the card.  Position the card2 above the card1.  Drag the card2 layer below the card1 layer (see header tag).

9.  Restore the Butterfly2 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the butterfly by 50% two times and by 85% one time.  Rotate the butterfly by 20 degrees to the right.  Position the butterfly as shown in the header tag.  Restore the Casket - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the casket by 50%.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the casket.  Position the casket at the bottom right corner of the template.

10.  Restore the HeadStone 2 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the head stone by 50%.  Position the head stone on the casket as shown in header tag.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the head stone.  Activate the grass layer of your tag - Layers/Duplicate.  Using the Move Tool, move the grass so that it covers the bottom of the casket (see header tag).

11.  Restore the BleedingHearts element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the hearts element by 50% one time and by 75% one time.  Position the hearts on the top of the first of the three squares.  Layers/Duplicate.  Change the blend mode of the duplicated hearts layer to Hard Light.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the hearts.  Write the words "Disturbia" beneath the bleeding hearts using the Ghost Writer font size 26.  Layers/Duplicate.  Change the duplicated layer to Hard Light.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the text.

12.  Restore the BarbWire - Edit/Copy; Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Position the barb wire in the 2nd square (see header tag).  Draw a selection (Rectangle, Feather 0) around the parts of the barb wire that extends past the inside of the frame.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the barb wire.  Layers/Duplicate.  Change the blend mode of the original barb wire layer to Screen.  Change the blend mode of the duplicated barb wire to Hard Light.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag.  Resize your tag if needed.  Position your tube on the tag.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube changing the blur to 10.

13.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Resize the tag by 95%.  Move the tag up towards the top of the canvas so you will have room for your text at the bottom.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #717578.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select the mask that you will be using from the drop box under the Source window.  Layers/Merge/Merge Group.

14.  Add your copyright info and text to your tag.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that may be around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
