This tutorial was created on June 9, 2011 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please feel free to use any of my tutorials that you wish to use for your Psp groups, as long as you give proper credit for the creator of the tutorials.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Tumbleweed, this tutorial was written for you.  Hope you like it.

See another version of the tutorial at the bottom of the page.

~FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING~

Paint Shop Pro (trial version here)

Nik Software Color Efex Pro 3.0 here (15 day trial period)

Xero Lithograph here

Tubes and texture here (or use your own tubes and texture)

NOTE:  The tubes used in this tutorial were received through sharing groups; no credit was given on these tube for the tuber or the artist.  The texture is created by KeyMoon, but I cannot find a site to link back to for proper credit.

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

 1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now.  Create a new image 850w x 700h white background.  Selections/Select All.  Restore the Texture16 by KeyMoon - Edit/Copy; back to the blank image and Edit/Paste Into Selection.  Do NOT deselect.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Restore the tube 1228382-Paysages; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Change the blend mode of the paysages tube to Luminance and lower the opacity of the tube layer to 50.

2.  Restore the W5 tube - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the W5 tube by 150%.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the boat at the bottom right corner of your canvas (see header tag).  Change the blend mode of the W5 layer to Luminance (L) and lower the opacity of the tube to 40.

3.  Restore the 003fg graphic - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the graphic one time by 75% and one time by 90%.  Position the graphic on the left side of the canvas.  Change the blend mode of the graphic to Luminance (L).  Select the FreeHand Selection Tool (point to point, feather 3) and remove the white frame background from the right side of the graphic (see below).

4.  Restore the Tube 1228686174-hommes; Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the tube by 90%.  Position the tube at the top right corner of the canvas.  Change the blend mode of the tube layer to Luminance (L).  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Effects/Plugin Filters/Nik Software/Color Efex Pro 3.0 using the Bleach Bypass effect.  Change the settings on the right to the settings shown below.

Brightness -72; Saturation 40; Global Contrast -59; Local Contrast 100

5.  Effects/Plugin Filters/Xero/Lithograph using the settings shown below.

Vibrancy 161; Colouration 127; Grittiness 4

6.  Image/Add Borders 2 pixels symmetric using the color #F3DAD9.  Image/Add Borders 6 pixels symmetric using the color #FFFFFF.   Image/Add Borders 1 pixel symmetric using the color #A6646B.  I wrote the text "Waiting for you to come home" on my tag.  There are so many different ways that you can change the effects of the Color Efex Pro and get different outcome of your tag.  It's really fun to experiment with it.  Below is another example of this tutorial using a multi-brown texture.
