This tutorial was created on March 4, 2011 and is the creation of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials from my website to add to another site unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

~FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING~

Paint Shop Pro (trial version)

Supplies here (if anyone knows who the mask and the chest piece were created by, please let me know)

Tube and font of choice

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1. Open  your supplies in Psp and minimize them to your Psp work space for now.  Create a new image 800w x 700h white background.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill the new layer with the color #000000.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select the maskeplay_elli from the drop box under the Source window.  Source luminance is checked; Invert mask data is not checked.  Layers/Merge/Merge Group.  Resize the mask layer by 85%.

2.  Activate the Magic Wand tool (feather 0; tolerance 0) and click inside of the long rectangle part of the mask to select.  Apply some brush effects to the background.  I typed the word "games" and randomly placed the word on my rectangle background.  I used the font Freebooter at  size 20.  Then I lowered the opacity of the background to about 20.  Selections/Select None.  Restore the Reynegro (chess piece) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the chess piece by 85%.  Position the chess piece in the long blank rectangle part of the mask (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect using the settings shown below.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 60; Blur 5; Color Black

3.  Restore the tube that you will be using on your tag - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Apply a drop shadow effect to your tube changing the blur to 8.  Position your tube next to the chess piece as shown in the header tag.  Resize your tube if needed.  Activate the Selection Tool (rectangle, feather 0) and draw a selection around the inner black border of the wide rectangle that is on the right side of your tag.  Restore your tube once again and go to Image/Mirror.  Edit/Copy; back to  your tag image and Edit/ Paste As New Layer.  Position the tube over the selected part of the rectangle; Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Lower the opacity of the tube to 45%.

4.  Using a font of choice type out the words "Don't play games with my HEART!".  I used the font SmellsLikeTacos BB and the color #4B0C0F size 36 Vector.  Position the text at the bottom of the big playing card part of the mask (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the text changing the blur to 3.  Restore the Cards - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Position the cards on the bottom right corner of the wide rectangle (see header tag).

5.  Restore the Touchstoneset5-54 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize by 85%.  Position at the top part of the canvas over the tag as shown in header tag.  Lower the opacity to 33%.  Restore the Touchstoneset5-39 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Position the text below the chess piece on the long rectangle.  Lower the opacity to 43%.  Add more brush effects if desired.

6.  Add your name and copyright info to your tag.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Effects/Plugin Filters/Illustrator using the settings shown below.  NOTE:  This step is optional.

Abstraction 65; Coluration 191; Definition 72

7.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that is around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
