This tutorial was created on January 2, 2012 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove this tutorial, or any of my tutorials, from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the JRNBPU2 (green frame) to your Psp workspace.  Shift+D to make a duplicate of the frame; close out the original frame.  Resize the frame by 50% one time and by 75% one time; resize all layers is checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Image/Canvas Size.  Change the width of the canvas to 825w and the height of the canvas to 850h.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the frame using the settings shown below.

Vertical 1; Horizontal 1; Opacity 60; Blur 1; Color Black

2.  Restore the JRNBPU5A (green weeds); Edit/Copy - back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the element by 50% two times.  Position the weeds on the right side of the frame.  Apply a drop shadow to the weeds using the settings shown below.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 60; Blur 4; Color Black

3.  Restore the NB_news_exc2 element - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the element by 50% one time and 55% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the element using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 6.  Restore the JRNB7 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the sign by 50% two times and by 85% one time.  Position the sign on the left side of the frame.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the sign.

4.  Restore the JRNBPU5B (green leaf) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the leaf by 50% two times. and by 75% one time.  Position the leaf on the bottom left corner of the frame (position over the sign post; see header).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the leaf.  Duplicate the leaf layer; resize the duplicated leaf by 65%.  Image/Mirror.  Using the Move Tool, move the leaf back to the left bottom corner of the frame and position as shown.  Restore the JRNBPU5 (brown leaves on tree limb) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the leaves by 50% two times and 85% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the limb.  Position the limb on the left side of the frame.  Rotate the limb by 10 degrees to the left.  Drag the limb layer below the sign layer.  Duplicate the limb layer;  rotate the duplicated limb by 20 degrees to the right.  Position the duplicated limb as shown in header tag.

5.  Restore the JRNBPU3A (brown flower) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the flower by 50% two times and by 85% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower.  Position the flower on the top left corner of the frame.  Restore the JRNBPU1 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the element by 50% two times.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the element using the same settings as used in Step 1.  Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.  Position the element under the right bottom corner of the frame.  Draw a selection around the part of the lace that shows inside the frame.  Hit the delete key on the keyboard.  Selections/Select None.

6.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill the raster layer with the color #FFFFFF.  Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with a color from your tag.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select the mask that you will be using on your background from the drop box under the Source window.  Layers/Merge/Merge Group. 

7.  Add your text and any needed copyright info to your tag.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that is around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
