This tutorial was created on July 26, 2011 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials from my site to add to another site unless you have been given permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  The lovely tube by Georgina Doull was used with general permission from the group Dragons Lair Tubes.

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Brackets 4 to your Psp workspace.  Shift+D to make a duplicate of the brackets; close out the original brackets.  Image/Canvas Size.  Change the width of the canvas to 850w and the height of the canvas to 850h.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the brackets using the settings shown below.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 55; Blur 6; Color Black

     

2.  Restore the Paper16 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the paper by 50%; resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Layers/Arrange/Move to Bottom.  Image/Rotate/Free Rotate.  Rotate the paper by 25 degrees to the right.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the Paper16.

3.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Change your foreground color to #FFFFFF.  Apply a brush effect to the center of the Paper16.  I applied a floral brush effect to mine.  Change the blend mode of the brush effect layer to Soft Light.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize  your tube if needed.  Rotate the tube by 25 degrees to the right.  This tube layer should be below the brackets layer.  Duplicate your tube layer (Layers/Duplicate).  Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top.  Activate the Eraser Tool (Size 60; Density, Hardness, and Opacity 100) and erase all the parts of the tube that is covering the brackets.  Activate the original tube layer and apply a drop shadow effect to the tube EXCEPT change the blur to 8.

5.  Restore the Heart 1 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the Heart 1 by 50%.  Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize using the settings shown below.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the heart.  Position the string part of the heart on the middle extended part of the left bracket (see header tag).

6.  Restore the Flower1 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Colorize the flower using the same settings as before in Step 5.  Resize the flower by 50% one time and by 65% one time.  Position the flower over the string part of the heart.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower.  Restore the Buttons 1 - Activate the Selection Tool and draw a selection around the dark blue button.  Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the button by 50% one time and by 65% one time.  Position the button in the center of the Flower 1.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the button.  Layers/Merge/Merge Down.

7.  Restore the Deco Charm 3 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the charm by 50% one time and by 75% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the charm.  Position the charm on the bottom end of the right bracket (see header tag).  Restore the Star 2 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Colorize the star using the same settings as used in Step 5.  Resize the star by 50% one time and by 85% one time.  Position the star on the middle extended part of the right bracket.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the star.

8.  Activate the Flower 1 layer and go to Layers/Duplicate.  Resize the duplicated flower by 90% and position it over the string part of the Star 2.  Duplicate the duplicated Flower 1 and position it on the bottom of the tag next to the charm.  Restore the Folded Ribbon 4B - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the ribbon by 75% one time and by 85% one time.  Rotate the ribbon by 25 degrees to the right.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the ribbon.  Position the ribbon on top of the tag under your main tube and on top of the brackets (see header tag).  Draw a selection around the part of the ribbon that extends onto the star on the right side of the tag.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.

9.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.  Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #A3B1C4.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select the mask that you are using from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance is checked.  Layers/Merge/Merge Group.  Change the blend mode of the mask layer to Multiply.

10.  Add your name to your tag and any copyright info that is needed.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that may be around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
