This tutorial was created on February 3, 2012 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs. 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.  This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Psp.

Font and Mask of choice

 

Okay, let's get started with our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the template to your Psp workspace.  Shift+D to make a duplicate of the template; close out the original template.  Image/Canvas Size.  Change the width of the canvas to 800w and the height of the canvas to 800h.  *Activate the Raster 5 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper5 - Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the paper using the settings shown below*.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 55; Blur 6; Color Black

2.  Follow the directions between the ** for the remaining layers of the template EXCEPT change the paper as shown below.

Raster 2 layer - Paper9

Raster 7 layer - Paper12 (change layer blend mode to Multiply)

Raster 3 layer - Paper6

Raster 8 layer - Paper12 (change blend mode of layer to Multiply; delete black dots layer)

Copy of Raster 3 layer - Paper8

Raster 6 layer - Paper5

Copy (2) of Raster 3 layer - Paper6

Copy of Raster 8 layer - Paper12 (change blend mode of layer to Multiply; delete black dots layer)

Raster 4 layer - Paper3

Copy (2) of Raster 8 layer - Paper 12 (same as other Raster 8 layers)

3.  Restore the Element 44 (butterfly) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the butterfly by 50% two times and 90% one time.  Position the butterfly over parts of the middle and bottom strips (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the butterfly.  Restore the Element 29 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the umbrella by 50%.  Image/Mirror.  Position the umbrella on the left side of the circle layer of the tag (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the umbrella.

4.  Restore the Element 25 - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer. Resize the element by 50%.  Position on the right side of the circle as shown in header tag.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the element.  Restore the Element 2 (jewelry box) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the jewelry box by 50% one time and by 65% one time.  Position the jewelry box at the bottom left side of the tag. Apply a drop shadow effect to the jewelry box.

5.  Restore the Element 1 (girl doll) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the doll by 65% one time and 85% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the doll and position as shown in header tag.  Restore the Element 17 (red flower) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the flower by 50% two times and 75% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower and position on the top right corner of the first strip.

6.  Restore the Element 4 (mirror) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the mirror by 50%.  Rotate the mirror by 20 degrees to the left.  Position the mirror on the left side of the tag.  Drag the mirror layer under the umbrella and jewelry box layers.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the mirror.  Restore the Element 8 (lipstick) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the lipstick by 50% two times.  Position the lipstick on the left corner of the middle strip.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the lipstick.

7.  Restore the Element 9 (blush compact) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the compact by 50% two times and by 85% one time.  Image/Mirror.  Position the compact next to the lipstick.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the compact.  Restore the Element 7 (blush brush) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the brush by 50% two times.  Rotate the brush by 20 degrees to the left.  Position the brush so that it is leaning against the compact.  Apply a drop shadow to the brush.

8.  Restore the Element 46 (brown heart) - Edit/Copy.; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize by 50% two times.  Position the heart on the right corner of the middle strip.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the heart.  Restore the Element 36 (red ribbon) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the ribbon by 50% two times.  Rotate the ribbon by 30 degrees to the left.  Position the ribbon on the top left corner of the top strip as shown in the header tag.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the ribbon.

9.  Restore the Element 10 (drawers) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the drawers by 50% one time and 85% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the drawers.  Position the drawers on the right side of the tag as shown.  Restore the Element 43 (yellow butterfly) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the butterfly by 50% two times and 65% one time.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the butterfly.  Position on the right side of the tag above the leaves.

10.  Restore the Element 45 (scatter leaves) - Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the leaves by 50% one time and by 90% one time.  Position the leaves on the right side at the top of the tag (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the leaves.  Layer/Duplicate.  Image/Mirror.  Optional:  Using font and colors of choice, write the words Pretty, In, Pearls and position on your tag as shown in the header tag.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF.  Layers/Arrange Send to Bottom.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #ECAFA9.  Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.  Select your mask from the drop down box under the Source window.  Source luminance is checked.  Once your mask has been applied, go to Layers/Merge/Merge Group.

11.  Add your name or text to your tag, as well as any needed copyright info.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that may be around  your tag.  Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
