This tutorial was created on April 29, 2010 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp version 8 but should be able to be created in other versions of Psp.

Okay, let's get started on our tag!

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Teresa_Template6 to your Psp workspace.  Delete the watermark layer (top layer) from the template.  Activate the Circle2 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper05 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer (NOTE:  I resized the Paper05 by 80% so that the circle design on the paper would be smaller).  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below.

Vertical and Horizontal 0; Opacity 60; Blur 8; Color Black

2.  Activate the Circle1 layer of the template and follow the same instructions listed in Step 1 for the Circle2.  Activate the Photomat1 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Position the part of your tube that you want in the frame over the selection.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Lower the opacity of the tube layer to 78.  Make sure the tube layer is above the Photomat1 layer on  your layer palette. Activate the Photomat2 layer of the template and follow the same instructions as listed in Step 2 for the Photomat1.

3.  Activate the Frame1 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper14 and go to Image/Resize.  Resize the Paper14 by 50%.  Resize all layers IS checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Position the paper over the selected frame and go to Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the frame using the settings shown below.

4.  Activate the Frame2 layer of the template and follow the same instructions as for the Frame2 layer in Step 3.  Activate the Strip1 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper15 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the Strip1 using the same settings as used in Step 1.

5.  Activate the Stars layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper4 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply the same drop shadow setting to the Stars as used in Step 1 EXCEPT change the blur to 5. 

6.  Activate the Strip2 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow to the Strip2 using the same settings as used in Step 1.  Activate the WordArt layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the Paper1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the words using the settings shown below.

Vertical 1; Horizontal -1; Opacity 75; Blur 3; Color Black

7.  Activate the Circle1 layer of the template.  Using the Magic Wand tool, click in the center of the big white star to select.  Selections/Modify/Expand by 8 pixels.  Restore the Paper15 (or paper of choice) and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer (I resized my paper by 70%).  Position the paper over the star selection and go to Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the star using the same settings as used in Step 1.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Position as shown in header tag and apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 1.

8.  Restore the CrossBones01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the crossbones by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 85% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the crossbones on the left corner of the Strip2.  Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/Mirror.  Restore the CrossBones03 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the crossbones by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Position the crossbones on the frames (see header tag) and apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as Step 3.

9.  Restore the BeadedWord01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the beaded word by 50% for a total of two (2) times.  Image/Rotate.  Rotate the beaded word by 78 degrees to the right.  Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.  Apply a drop shadow effect  using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Position the beaded word on the right side of the frame2 (see header tag).  Restore the Flower07 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% for a total of two (2) times.  Position on the right corner of the frame2 on top of the beaded word (see header tag).  Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 3.

10.  Activate the white background layer.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Apply some brush effects of choice to your background.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Add your name or watermark to your tag.  I used the font Hip Priest for my name.  Once you have added your name, watermark, and copyright info, go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space that is around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
