Tube by Terry; Mask used by Vix See another example of this tutorial at the bottom of the page. This tutorial was created on November 4, 2007 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp Version 9 but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. ~For this tutorial you will need the following~ Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Mask #44 here (download set 26-50; bottom of page) Supplies here Font of choice Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize them to your Psp workspace for now. Set your foreground/stroke color to #535564 and the background/fill color to #ADAFBC. 2. Create a new image (File/New) 600w x 600h white background. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the foreground color. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the Vix_Mask44 from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance is checked; invert mask data is not checked.
3. Layers/Merge/Merge Group. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the background color. Apply the Vix_Mask44 once again using the same settings as used in Step 2. Layers/Merge/Merge Group. Image/Resize. Resize the light colored hearts layer by 90%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Effects/Texture Effects/Weave using the settings shown below. Gap size 1; Width 3; Opacity 22; Weave color #ADAFBC; Gap color #535564; Fill gaps checked
4. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Apply a drop shadow effect to the light colored hearts layer using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 65; Blur 3; Color Black
5. Activate the dark hearts layer, should be Group-Raster 1 layer. Layers/Duplicate. Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top. Image/Resize. Resize the duplicated hearts layer by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the resized dark layer of hearts using the settings shown in Step 4. X out (hide) the white background layer and merge visible (Layers/Merge/Merge Visible) all other layers. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen More. Remove the X from the white background layer and make this layer the active layer. 6. Restore the ringofhearts_deco and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Using the Move Tool, position the deco in the center of the ring of hearts as shown in the screen shot below.
7. Restore the Terry_Filthy tube and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top. Image/Mirror. Position this tube as shown in the header tag. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 75; Blur 15; Color Black
8. Image/Canvas Size. Leave the width at 600w but change the height to 650h. Click on the middle arrow on the top row of arrows.
9. Restore the ringofhearts_keeplove text tube and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position this tube at the lower left side of your tag. Add your name or watermark to your tag. Below are the settings that I used for my name. Font- Mary Jane; Size 72; Vector; Stroke Width 2; Bold; Anti-alias; Stroke color #ADAFBC; Fill color #535564 10. Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Apply a drop shadow to your text and position the text on your tag. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format. Below is another example of the Ring of Hearts tag.
