This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. ~ FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ~ Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Tropical Paradise Scrap Kit here Template by Babe's Designz here (template 42) Tube and font of choice
Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the Babe's template to your Psp workspace. With the template being the active image, go to Rotate/Rotate Clockwise 90. Delete the top copyright layer of the template from the layer palette. Activate the Triple Bars layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper07 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 70; Blur 5; Color Black
2. Activate the Doodle layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper05 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the doodle using the same settings as used in Step 1 EXCEPT change the blur to 3. 3. Activate the DotHearts layers of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper03 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effects as used in Step 1. 4. Activate the Circle layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper04 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the same settings as used in Step 1. Repeat the drop shadow effect changing the vertical setting to -2 and the horizontal setting to -1. Change the opacity to 40. 5. Activate the DotCircle layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the Paper02 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect to the dot circle as used in Step 1 EXCEPT change the vertical setting to 1 and the blur to 3. Change the blend mode of the dot circle layer to Multiply. 6. Restore the tube that you will be using on your tag; Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed, and position as shown in header tag. Apply a drop shadow effect of choice to your tube. Restore the Flower06 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the flower by 50% one (1) time and by 65% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 1. Position the flower on the top right side of the tag (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Image/Flip. 7. Restore the BeadChain01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the bead chain by 50% and position on the circle part of the template (see header tag). Using the Eraser tool or the Selection tool, remove the part of the bead that goes past the dotted circle (see header tag). Apply a drop shadow effect to the bead using the same settings as used in Step 1 EXCEPT change the blur to 3. Move this layer under your tube layer. Restore the WordArt01 (aloha) and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the word art by 50%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the word art at the top of your tag (see header tag) and apply a drop shadow using the same settings as used in Step 1. 8. Restore the TropicalBird and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the tropical bird by 50% two (2) times. Apply a drop shadow effect to the bird using the same settings as used in Step 1. Position the bird on the right side of your tag (see header tag). Image/Canvas Size. Leave the width at 550w but change the height of your canvas to 700h. Click on the middle arrow on the top row of arrows.
9. Restore the Flower05 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower by 65% one (1) time and by 90% one (1) time. Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step1. Position the flower at the bottom of your tube (see header tag). Restore the Flower04 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times. Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 1. Position the flower at the top left side of your tag (see header tag). 10. Apply your name or text to your tag using a font of choice. I used Paper07 for my text fill and Paper04 for the text stroke. Apply a drop shadow to your text and position on your tag. Apply your copyright or watermark to your tag. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
